Q.Is it possible to rent a car at the store?

Yes! Of course.
At the store, you can see the actual cars and choose the rental car that best suits your needs.

Q.What kind of service is rental car delivery?

A.
Smile Rent-A-Car Awazu Onsen Branch offers a rental car delivery and collection service to the location of your choice.The delivery and collection locations are Komatsu City, Kaga City, and Nomi City, and our staff will deliver and collect the rental car to the location and time of your choice, such as the station, airport, accommodation, home, or office.
As this is a very popular service, it may be crowded during popular times (9am-11am and 5pm-7pm), and there may be times when we cannot accommodate your desired delivery time. Therefore, if you would like to use the delivery service, we ask that you make your reservation by phone and contact us as early as possible.

Q. Can I return or borrow items outside of business hours?

As a general rule, we do not do this, but depending on the situation, our staff may be able to assist you, so please contact us first.

Q. Payment Methods

When booking with ONEDAY, you can make a credit card payment online. We also accept cash, various credit cards, and QR code payments when you pick up your rental car on the day. Please feel free to ask.

Q. Do you use studless tires in the winter?

A.
Yes, they are. However, depending on the snow conditions in neighboring prefectures, we may not be able to specify the tires you need, so we may need to change the tires at our discretion. Thank you for your understanding.

Q.Do I have to pay the collision damage waiver?

A.

Although joining the Collision Damage Waiver Compensation System is optional, Smile Rent-A-Car recommends joining in order to prepare for the unlikely event of an accident.

Q.Are there any mileage restrictions?

A.

Smile Rent-A-Car does not have a total mileage limit. Mileage is free.

Q.Do I need to refill fuel?

A.

We will provide you with a full tank of fuel when you rent the vehicle, so please return it with a full tank of fuel. If you are unable to return it with a full tank, you will be asked to pay the mileage calculated according to our company's regulations.

Q. Can I extend the rental time while I'm still renting?

A.

Depending on the reservation status of other customers, we may be unable to extend your stay, so please contact the store as soon as possible if you wish to extend your stay.
If it is possible to extend your usage time, please pay the fee before the extended time. Please note that if you are unable to make the payment above and exceed the extended time, you will be charged the specified extra fee.

Q. Does anything change depending on how recently I got my license or my age?

A.
If any of the drivers has held a license for less than a year or is under 21 years of age, or if they are inexperienced drivers or require advice on accident prevention, we will provide an explanation of the Safety Start (accident prevention checkpoints and safe driving advice) at the time of rental.

Q. Can I rent a car with a provisional license (provisional driver's license)?

A.
We are very sorry, but we cannot rent cars to people with provisional licenses. Also, please note that people with provisional licenses cannot drive cars that have been rented to people with driver's licenses.
In the unlikely event that a person with a provisional license gets into an accident while driving, insurance and compensation systems will not apply (the full cost will be borne by the person with the provisional license).
